is it ok to feed a chinchilla cereal? i give them my left over cherrios and stuff.

hello nikky i would say it would be ok if in small amounts and not as a staple you should really stick to the chinchilla diet it is formulated just for them, certain foods can burn up their kidneys..

thanks. i do feed chinchilla diet as their staple, with dried fruits. I never finish a box of cereal so I give it to them as treats a few times aweek.

cool, it sounds like you take very good care of them, me i have never owned a chinchilla before just worked with them in all, they are very cute and if my cats wouldnt attack one i think i would get one fo sure, best wishes friend..
