| I have japonese marsh shrimp ( aka Amato shrimp)Neocaridinia japonicus, West African blue mole shrimp Atya gabonensis, and a few hundred Florida blue crayfish Procambarus alleni. I like the large Macrobrachium sp. shrimp (aka long arm shrimp),but can't justify the tank space for such large predators. I would also like to start a colony of Crystal Red Shrimp the type that sports a lot of white. I purchased some last summer, but the seller in Texas sent all males. Beware of buying on the internet many sellers will only ship same sex groups, so the buyer can't produce any offspring to sell. I would rather just trade with Pets Galore where you can see what you are getting. Unfortunately some of these things are not available through their distributors unless you will buy in large quantities, and how many customers are going to come in the store to purchase a few dozen one inch long shrimp for $19.00ea. | |
